Forsythias line the streets in my small town, and their cheerful yellow blooms bring a much needed brightness to the drab colors of early, early spring. Forsythias aren't listed in the Victorian Language of Flowers, but they happen to be part of the Olive family - and Olives mean "Peace". I think this is particularly fitting.
These yellow forsythia are highlighted with metallic watercolor, the edges hand-deckled, and framed in a little brass floater frame that measures about 2.5x4". This sweet painting is the perfect size for that little nook, windowsill, or bookshelf.
