The Victorian Language of Flowers is full of different kinds of lilies, but not one mention of the trout lily. Possibly because it is native to the US, and not seen in Europe! You'll find these fascinating flowers and their spotted leaves in moist woodlands, little yellow faces peeking out at you.

These Trout Lilies are highlighted with metallic watercolors, the edges hand-deckled, and framed in a little brass floater frame that measures about 2.5x4". This sweet painting is the perfect size for that little nook, windowsill, or bookshelf.
