"Love Bond" is a watercolor painting on cold-press, acid-free watercolor paper. It was created as part of my Motherhood Collection, which came about in the months after my little girl's birth.

The bond between a mother and her baby is one of the sweetest things on earth. I chose to illustrate this sweetness with a pastel palette of pinks and greens. All the flowers in the painting have a meaning related to love.
On the baby's head:
Coreopsis Arkana - "Love at First Sight"
Gillyflower - "Bonds of Affection"
Cinquefoil - "Beloved Daughter"
On the mother's head:
Althaea Frutex - "Consumed by Love"
Honeysuckle - "Bonds of Love"
Alstroemeria - "Devotion"
Surrounding them:
Convolvus - "Bonds"
Alstroemeria - "Devotion"
Honesuckle - "Bonds of Love"
Milkvetch - "Your Presence Softens My Pains"
Pink rosebud - "New Love"
