Mistletoe is the quintessential romantic Christmas plant, hung in the doorway for many an unsuspecting couple. Many years ago, it was considered sacred by the ancient Druids, who used it to indicate a meeting place where no violence could occur.
These meanings are both inscribed on the back of this ornament as "Affection" and "Peaceful Meeting".

These ceramic bisque ornaments are hand-painted with watercolor, edged in gold paint, and finished with a matte varnish to seal and protect the delicate pigments.
On the back of each ornament is my full signature, and the name of the flower with its meaning. It comes with a crinkle chiffon ribbon.
