Noctilucent clouds are a type of rare cloud that forms at the very edge of space. Because of their height, they catch rays of light from the sun after all the other clouds have gone dark for the evening - and they are the first to catch sight of the sun's light as it begins to rise. They are clouds that seem almost to see into the future and the past.

"Seen from a Great Height" is inspired by the Enneagram 6 personality type - people who, though often seen as anxious, have an uncanny ability to spot trouble coming, and always have a plan in place.

This piece is 8x10", unframed, on cold pressed Arches watercolor paper
