"The Horse" - This painting represents the Melancholic-Sanguine type; the most social of the Melancholics, this person is diplomatic, thoughtful, and friendly.
Adding touches of that Sanguine Yellow to the warm cerulean Blue of the Melancholy was a really fun challenge with this painting, since I didn't want any green!
The plants in the painting derive meaning from the Victorian Language of Flowers:
Ferns - Thoughts, Dreams, Magic
Freesia - Thoughtfulness
Laburnum - Pensive Beauty
Houseleek - Vivacity
Delphinium - Fun
What's one of the biggest strengths of the Melancholic-Sanguine? In the model's own words:
” I feel like my biggest strength is compassion, and I see the world as living art. Everything is just so beautiful to me. I love nature, especially the forest. I feel like I’m supposed to be living in another century, maybe the old Scottish highlands or with the Vikings.”
"The Horse" is an 18x24" watercolor painting on paper. Will ship rolled in a tube, with protective paper and plastic.
