October Studio Recap

One of my favorite ways to show someone they are loved is by showing them that they are deeply understood - and accepted. This is one of the reasons I love to use animal imagery in my portraits. Taking the time to think about which personality traits best match a certain animal, and being able to explain it, shows a depth of understanding and a commitment of time and mental effort that a lot of people don't receive from their loved ones. I think it's important to take the whole person, their fears, their temptations and struggles, along with their virtues and joys, and be able to say - "I know this is who you are, and I accept and love you." I have a really specific way of thinking about personalities, what color and animal best represent them, and I've created a free Eguide to explain it all! If you're on my mailing list, you already received the eguide - but if not, I'd love to give it to you!

Inktober This past month I did a mini painting every single day for the Inktober challenge, and all of your submissions really helped me reach that goal! Here are a few of my favorites - to see all of them, head over to the FB Gallery

What's next? Christmas is coming, you guys, and I already have some GORGEOUS portrait paintings lined up. I can't wait to show you, once they're finished! My commission slots are wide open, from my mini silhouettes (like the ones above), all the way up to my largest size of portraits. If you're curious about my commission process, you can see more about it HERE - and if you think you'd like to get started but have a few questions, you can always email me! I'd love to hear from you! Til next time! ~Holly
